DAVIDSON Suzanne (Lamkin), 65, passed away peacefully at her Hamilton home in the presence of her family on Friday evening, November 2, 2001. She was born August 6, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Mary (Schneider) and Dr. Glenn S.

Lamkin. She attended Ursuline Academy and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati. She received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati, and a master's degree in education from Miami University, Oxford. Suzanne devoted 30 loving years to teaching children in the Hamilton City School District, primarily as an elementary reading specialist. Suzanne was a respected teacher, whose special gifts enriched both her own family and her extended student family.

For her, there was no greater personal success than leading children into learning. She especially treasured spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to read, write and to appreciate the simple things that life had to offer. She enjoyed her dogs, and took pleasure in activities like pottery, painting, woodcarving, music, and writing poetry. But for Suzanne, life's greatest moments were spent encouraging her family and others to live, to laugh, to love, and to learn. Widowed in her early 30's, she was a model of strength and courage for her three young children whose ages were nine, eight and six.

Her positive influence pulled the family together and helped shape the lives of Vicki, Betsy and Dave, who all made her proud in their respective legal professions. One of her friends once wrote to her: "The one thing that stands out is the great love you have for your family." Her stepmother and good friend, Eileen, recently gave her a printed pillow that said "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much." That gift summarized Suzanne Davidson's life and attitude. She knew the seriousness of life, but likewise the importance of humor. Despite her recurrent health battles, she never complained and was more concerned with ministering to others along the way. She closed her life with a true, inner peace and gratitude for always being "blessed." Suzanne will be remembered most for her unconditional love of family, strong commitment to her faith, and a never-ending positive attitude.
