She is a noted artist and. has done work for shops in Carmel and Monterey, Calif, She taught school in Venezuela and made numerous trips to various partsT of South America and re-- turned here via Guatomala and Mexico. She taught three years in Okinawa and was interviewed there by Dwight Cook, who gives newscasts of interesting people around the world.

She was on television there both for her art work and for having the most attractive school room. While in the Orient, she visited Japan, Formosa and Hongkong. MRS. H. N.

Rev. R. V. Klein! feldt performed the impressive double ring ceremony in the presence -of a few close friends and relatives. The bride was attractive in a blue suit with a 'corsage of threes pink orchids.

Her accessories were beige. Mrs. Merritt Burt, Dillard, was attendant to. her sister and wore a pink suit with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. Robert Nelson, Roseburg, was best man.

Fallowing a wedding trip to Seattle, ond to Oakland, Mr. and Mrs. Gawler are now ot home to their friends In Rose- burg. Both the bride and bridegroom have resided here all of their lives. The bride's family came to Oregon In 1853 and Mr.

Coffee and punch were poured by Carol Firman and Bonn a Fae Rose, Mis Margaret Rose, friend of the bride, had charge of the guest book, After a brief trip to Salem, the couple are at home to their friends. The bride was formerly employ ed at the Beacon Electric store and was a graduate of the Sutherlin High School, class of 19M.

These recitals were given at Miss Strong's residence studio on South Main Street. A social hour was enjoyed at the close of each program and refreshments were served. The closing recital of the June series is planned for June 19th at the First Baptist Church to which the public is cordially Invited.

These were the first in a series to be given during the month of June. The Tuesday recital was given by a group of girls ranging from beginners to intermediate students of high school age. Ensemble numbers as well as solos were in- eluded in the program. They played very well and the program was very pleasing. The Wednesday recital was given largely by boys and their sisters.

They also varied in age from young beginners to high school students. Several piano duets and trios were of special interest.
