Paul L. Vaughan is a Katy businessman, a member of the Katy Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge Chapter 1066, Katy Odd Fellow Lodge, and the Floyd E. Breedlove Post VFW. Paul served in the U. S.

armed forces from 1940 to 1945. From 1942 to 1945 he was a 1st Lt. Air Corp. Pilot with combat duty in Italy. He retruned home with the Presidential Citation, the Distinguished Flying Cross, with the Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Air Medal.

On July 19, 1944 he was married to Shirley Ruth Senior. Their daughter, Mary Ruth is 14 years ago. Paul is Commission Agent for Continental Oil Co. in Katy. He says he likes to fish and work with wood.

Douglas Wilson is a Police Sergeant in Pasadena. He is president of the Pasadena Police Officers and is a member of Masonic Lodge Chapter 1155, He was married to Adell bowling, fishing and boating. He is a member of the Bayshore Boat Club. Roland E. Cliett, a native of Pattison, Texas, was born on October 5, 1915.

He is a member of the Methodist Church and is a Mason. He served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force. In 1945, he was married to Sidonie Mynecik and they live at 4419 Coyle, Houston, Texas.

Roland is employed by the Houston Oxygen Co. James Boyd Simons is a food service specialist in the U. S. Army. He entered the Army in July 1938 and is a veteran of service in the European-African and Middle Eastern Theatre of World War II.

He later served with the 7th Infantry Division in Korea and is now stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso where he is in charge of a number of kitchens. He was married in October, I 1947 in Italy to Gina Capan- tini and they have one son, John Boyd Simons, 9 years old. They reside at 8809 Mt. Hagen Dr. in El Paso, Texas.

Floyd E. Breedlove was killed in action over France on March 18, 1944. He was a B-17 pilot returning from his 24th bombing mission. Floyd was born January 13, 1917 at Katy, son of Mrs. Ethel Breedlove and the late Edson Breedlove.

After graduation he attended A for a semester. He then went to Dallas for employment as a mechanic and lived with his sister, Mrs. Howard Mount and Mr. Mount He traveled with the Geophysical Co. in Louisiana and Cuba and operated the Gulf station in Katy before he went into the air corp.

He enlisted in the Air Corp on February 1942. Beginning in August '42, Floyd received training at bases in California, Arizona and at Marfa, Texas, where he received his wings on May 20, 1943. He went overseas on Sept. 7, 1943. His mother received the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Clusters granted to Lt.

Breedlove, posthumously. The local VFW post has been named in his honor.
