SchaUer were his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. Y. Kelson, Edgerton: his son, Charles, a junior at the University of Wisconsin; his brother and sister-in- law, llr.

and Mrs. Robert C. Schal. ler and two sons, David and John, and his rister, Mrs. Stephen EoUes, all of Janesviile.

Originally from Heubisch-amt- Sonneberg. Thuringia, in Germany, Mr. and Mrs. Andreas Schaller and small daughter came to the United States in October settling in JanesviUe in January 1856. Mr.

SchaUer worked as a carpenter and 2s a railroad employe and built his own home at 408 Linn St. He died in 1898 and his wife in 1906. They had six t-ons, George, Albert TOUiam, Charles, Frederick and Andrew, and three daughters, Mary, Oara SchaUer GauUce, and Emily SchaUer Kienke, all now deceased. Of the sons, those most prominent in the community were Fred, a grocer, who died in 1920; Albert, co-founder of the SchaUer McKey Lumber who died in 1922; and Charles, owner of the viile Steam Laundry, who died in 1946. Albert Schaller was one of JanesviUe's outstanding golfers of the early ISOO's.
