Keck, circuit judge in the 37th District for 12 years, was beaten by W. Major Gardner, who served as commonwealth's attorney throughout Mr. Keek's terms, in Tuesday's Democratic primary. Nearly complete tabulations of the voting show W. C.

Kibbey, Grayson, won the Republican nomination over both Mr. Keck and Mr. Gardner of West Liberty, and will face Gardner in November. Circuit judges can run on both tickets. Meanwhile, a brother battle in the llth District developed into a neck-and-neck struggle for the Democratic nomina'tion for judge.

Philip Bertram, the incumbent circuit judge, led his brother, George, by 4094 to 3392 with six precincts yet to be cdunted in Taylor County. If Philip keeps his lead, the contest will continue for the Campbellsville men. George apparently won the Republican nomination. His lead in the GOP primary was 612 with six Taylor precincts and all the Marion County returns missing. George J.
