To Show At Freeport Theatre Saturday The tinned States Coast Guard air corps is used as the.background of a motion picture for the first time in "Border Plight," action-filled air drama. of border warfare against smugglers, which shows at Freeport Theatre Saturday. A group of thirty trained filers, experienced in sky-fighting and pursuit, the Coast Guard air corps has made'history for Its branch of government service. It stands today as one of the most dangerous and ad- vehtrue-fllled arms of the law.

Members of the corps cooperated In directing filming of the picture, which shows Coast Guard pilots carrying out the hazardous duties of their Jobs. Central theme Of the film is the battle to stamp out a group of fur; smugglers. Warfare with the band brings plane dog- fighting high above the clouds, hand-to-hand combat on the ground, and a "battle to the finish" resetting a small slice of a major war. Air Thrills Many The chatter of machine-guns and the drone of hard-pressed motors run throughout. Spectacular crashes and the thrilling dive of a plane from several thousand' feet onto 'a smuggler's boat, destroying both in an explosion, are high points.

Freeport 10 Years Ago PROM THE PACE'S FILES CUB PACK NO. 1 IS ORGANIZED HERE A group of small boys between the ages of 9 and 11 met at Bryan beach Wednesday with their sponsor, L. Stuart, at a weiner roast for the purpose of re-organizing Cub Pact No. 1 of Preeport. The local pact Is the flrst organized of Its kind in the Galveston area and is directed on the order of the Boy Scouts.

Boy scouts meet with these small boys each week and drill them in work perparatory to becoming a scout. Mrs. F. F. Johnson Hostess To Club Mrs. P.

Johnson was hostess Thursday afternoon to members of the Two Table Club when she entertained at her home on Fourth street; Mrs. E. O. Moody was high scorei for the afternoon and received a pretty picture her award. Mrs.
