Now the correspondence course in computer programming has rushed into the vacuum. LaSalle Extension University of Chicago, one of the oldest and largest correspondence schools, now owned by Crowell CoHfer MacMittan, launched a mail order course in programming a year ago. "The course has been cessful and demand for it has increased steadily," a LaSalle spokesman said. 9 9 9 An ambitious new venture In teaching computer programming by mail has been launched by Lee Ratner of Miami Beach, a veteran mar- keter of real estate and sumer products.
