When six years of age ene came to this country wiu her parents. -They settled In Sugar Notch, but -within several years the family moved to this city. She was graduated aa a nurse of St Luke's Hospital, South Bethle- nem, in tne class or 1589 ana re turned to this city a resident graduate nurse. Her father, the late Henry A. Reldr ran a private school in the old Muslo Hall, where Hotel Sterling now stands, and afterward he was a teacher in the old Wilkes-Barre school system and was a Wilkes-Barre school director.

Mrs. Fairan was the wife of the late Patrick C. Fagan, Jr. In 1920 she became of those In charge of the office at Wilkes-Barre Gen eral Hospital and remained there until last year when she retired to enjoy rest at her Hazle Street Her early professional training wag evident in the years she was attached to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was under standing, ana had a personality which won her many friends.
