In PmAfUullla MnlHnvham .1 a PH' "This new device was patented after eight months of work with Rummler Kummler. noted pat ent attornevs of Chicago, and with heating and ventilating experts of the University of Chicago, its principal parts are a cylindrical water filled boiler with a central flue where heat is extracted from the products of combustion as they pass from the lower heated end of Khe tank towards the top.

Above the boiler Is a hollow bladed blower which receives the vapor or steam rising from below. This blower revolves, heating and humidifying the resulting air current, and forcing its circulation to any part of the home or building. The condensed vapor is returned to the original boiler where it is again heated, and once more rises to the hollow fan. Thermostatic control makes the operation automatic. Humidified hot air can be suDDlled at a high or low velocity to the room registers at 180 degrees temperature, and at the same time hot water is supplied at the faucets with a temperature of 140 degrees.

Big Territory Served By Gas and Elec. Co. An outstanding feature of 1930 in the electric Industry was the lHltlonof Pacific Gas and Elec trie company of the properties of Great Western Power company, San Joanuln LlKht and Power corpora tion, and Midland Counties Public Service corporation. This acquis ition considerably Increases the ter. rltorv served, as well as the facili ties of the Pacific Gas and Electric company, which now ranks as the fourth largest electrlo corporation in the world.

The territory now served with electricity by the company extends from the Oregon border, souin to Kern and Santa Barbara counties. This area Includes forty-five coun ties of Northern and Central Call fornta, In which reside 2.700,000 people, or about 60 per cent of the state's population. This company operates sixty-four hydro and steam plants with an Installed ca poclty of 1,472,857 horespower. These plants supply electric en ergy to 31,822 miles of transmission and distribution wires, six nun dred and five cities and towns re ceive their light and power from this system.
