Miss Landmesser's father is a former Wilkes-Barrean. Forty-eight scouts from the States and girls from 33 foreign countries are attending the camp. Miss Landmesser, who will enter Wilson College in the fall, was chosen as the Pennsylvania representative on recommendations from all the councils in the State. She Is a member of Girl Scout Troop 13 of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. The formal opening of the silver jubilee camp took place yesterday, when Mrs.

Church at Girardville. Rev. Isaac Davies, a friend of the bride's family, performed the ceremony, which took place on the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller of Parsons, grandparents of the bride.

Miss Ruth Davis of Girardville and John Perry of Mahanoy City were the attendants. The bride wore a white silk tunic dress with navy accessories and a navy blue felt hat. She wore a shoulder bouquet of orchids. The bridesmaid's dress was of powder blue Xrmade on redingote style over navy taffeta. Her hat was of blue felt and she wore a shoulder bouquet of tea roses.

A dinner followed at the residence of Rev. and Mrs. Davies. Couple went to Lake Placid and Saratoga Springs. They will live in Shavertown.

The condition of Henry W. Mer-ritt of 111 North Franklin Street, who submitted to an operation yesterday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, was given last night as "fairly good."
