The people of Allen county are agitating the subject of having a Fair this season. The assessed value of property this year in Fort Scott amouats in round numbers to $600,000. About $1800 have been subscribed by the people of Wathena to aid in the erection of a Catholic church. Two ferry-boats, both of sufficient capacity to carry horses and a wagon attached are now plying on the Neosho, at Burlington. A line of backs have been placed upon the road between Fort Scotland Fort Riley, passed through Neosho Valley.

I am waiting for my brother-in-law and sister to get ready. The will come with me to Atchison. My brotheria law is an architect of superior knowledge and has built many fine churches and buildings.
