Dan Balore has Secretarybeen designated to fix the schedule, and Mike Hogan was chosen as sporting editor. Four teams are practically assured and some real sport can be elljoyed for a few months. The room will be put in shape this week and practice will begin in earnest Monday. Considerable rivalry has developed between the opposing teams and some exciting times may be expected. The schedule will be printed Monday.

A. Gleissner who is now in the service. Death of Mrs. Rohrer. Mrs.

Anna Rohrer, aged 93 years. died at her son's home at 109 South Spruce street last night. She is survived by three children, two sons and a daughter. Mrs. Rohrer has lived in this community fifty-seven years.

The efficiency conference of county and state Sunday-school officials which adjourned its two days' sion at the Lutheran church last night is pronounced by its promoters to have enjoyed gratifying success throughout. At the closing session three home ministers took leadng parts, Mrs. H. L. Humphrey played and the Methodist choir sang.

The outstanding was by Rev. Frank G. Richof Holton, conference president. the church's patriotism in which connection Mr. Marshall Randel of Osage county sang "Keep the Home Fires Burning.

More than lifty per cent of the counties were represented. Nine members attended the sessions of the state excentive committee which was held in the state office in conjunction with the conference date. They transacted the routine mid-year business, and in addition remitted a substantial sum for the rehabilitation of the Nova Scotia Sunday School office which was laid waste in the recent Halifax disaster and assumed responsibility of six hundred dollars toward the current expenses of the Natonal Sunday School War Council. The state office requests the privilege of conveying through the Chron- icle acknowledgements to the families of the city whose homes were opened for the comfort of the city's guests and especially to those who 011 account of the weather were deprived of expected guests. More than a score of telegrams and letters of regret have been received from all quarters the state from persona I detained by sickness.
