Blantonwas one of the original members of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, and its president in 1973-79. Colleagues described him as instrumental in resurrecting Queen City Metro. He fought to acquire funding through tax increases in the late 1970s-early 1980s, a battle that included a press conference in August 1980 in which he debated the issues with then-Cincinnati Mayor J. Kenneth Blackwell, who opposed tax increases.

"I have never served on a board with a man I respected more," said SORTA board President Marion D. Jett in a 1980 Cincinnati Enquirer article. Morgan in the schools. "His primary purpose in life was to bring the love of Christ to as many people as possible." Mr. Buchner said Mr. Morgan really believed in the sacredness of each individual life. While working with the kids he would always say, "God loves you and I love you.

He said that Mr. Morgan spent a great deal of time reading and talking with the kids and was a very caring person. Mr. Morgan, of Madeira, died Friday at Jewish Hospital. He was .79.
