Full cut garments that are real IS EXPLAINED There have been star" streets named in Oakland in honor of Oakland soldiers who died in France. There are names of 69 other deceased soldiers still on the list of available street names. This was estimated today by the street department as the result of the controversy over Golf Links road, whose lower portion has been renamed Ludlnghouse road in honor of Lester R. Ludinghouse, son of George Ludinghouse of 133 Moss avenue.

Young Ludlnghouse died in battle May 1918. The street department several years ago adopted a policy of naming new streets after Oakland's deceased soldiers, in cases where there are no other names for the streets. It was done at hvasyfeBea-tion of Charles M. Brier, street numberer, who collected a complete list of those who died in battle. The list is not being used in alphabetical order.

Brier selects a name from any. part of the list In spite of the fact that Oakland lost 170 soldiers in battle, there Is not one Smith left on the list. l0the case of Golf Links road, road swung Into Jones avenue up? some distance and then became Yhe Golf Links road again. There were therefore two Golf Links j-oadS according to City Engineer Walter N. Frickstad, as the upper part of Jones avenue was between them, and Jones avenue could not be renamed at this point without causing considerable confusion.

It was therefore decided to name the lower part of Golf Links road "Ludinghouse" road, which ends at Jones avenue, which ends at upper Golf Links road again. There have been protests, however, and Frickstad said he is trying to reach some solution which is satisfactory to all. Kiwanis Club to Hear Talk on Orchids SAN LEANDRO, Feb. 15.
