176-Sept. 29-2t Huckleberries Make Sudden Decline; Northwestern Apples Arrive Early Trading "Wiped Out ROBINSON, Fred H. 30, 432 Lily st. SHERWOOD, Blanche M. 29, 537 Oak at HPHE egg market presents the unusual situation of prices declining at the beginning of winter when with production rapidly falling off they shouldbe advancing.

Eggs today were from 12 to 14 cents their prices of this date last year. The Poultry Producers of Central California today quoted large sizes to retailers at 37 cents against 49 cents this date last year. The differential on other sizes was corresponding. "Sluggish consumption, generally with- steadily-increasing weakness in the New York market and the glow movement of the large quantities of eggs in storage sum up a situation that has not been seen before in the egg industry in generation," said Lysle A. Stern, Easthay manager of the Poultry Producers.

Fruit and vegetable JolSbers are predicting serious damage to late fruit crops from the present rain. DETROIT, Sept, 30. OP) The neighbors of Edward J. Duke, who complained to police about the noise made by Duke's lone rooster and 20 are beginning- to wish they hadn't said anything. After complaints reached Inspector Frank Skelnlk, Duke was ordered to dispose of the flock.

"A home," said Duke, "la a man's castle, and Twill prove it to you." Whereupon he. bought himself four more roosters. Then he placed his phonograph, with a loud needle, 'before an open window of his home, and played it loud and long. To further prove his point, Duke purchased a fire dng and began hammering it around midnight. So Duke again was besieged to stop the racket.

He was persuaded to do away with the fire gong; and the phonograph, but not with the five roosters and the 20 full-voiced hens.
