Mayhew, a graduate of Walton High School, served as flight for three years and active engineer for U. Forces then SaAl duty overseas with a Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force in Eng land. He took part in 33 missions and has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Presidential Citation. Mrs. John Warner of Minneapolis, arrived in this vicinity yesterday to visit for the remainder of the week with her cousin, Miss Pearl Respess of Wallace Avenue, Covington, and with Mr.

Warner's aunt, Miss Helen, Russell of Fifth and Garrard Streets, Covington. Mrs. Warner will be joined for the week end by Mr. Warner. Mr.

and Mrs. J. Evan Perking Ill of Lakeside Park are going to Chicago Friday for a week-end visit with Mr. Perkins's mother, Mrs. Evan Perkins Jr.

Probation Revoked For Newport Man Probation of a two year term given to Robert Ashcraft, 22, Newport a charge breaking and entering, was revoked yesterday by Judge Ray L. Murphy of Campbell Circuit Court, Newport, on recommendation of James Clark, Probation Officer. Ashcraft was convicted May 17, 1947, on a charge of breaking into the home of his father-in-law, Joseph H.

King, 533 W. Seventh Newport. On a promise of the defendant Judge Murphy granted a probated sentence. Clark appeared in yesterday and announced Ashcraft court, failed to report to him as required and that the man refused to support his wife and child. Judge Murphy then instructed that Ashcraft serve his sentence.

Clubs and CHURCH GROUPS Williamstown To Be Host To 33 Clubs' Envoys Representatives of the 33 clubs in the Fifth District, Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs, will be in Williamstown Wednesday for the district meeting held in the Methodist Church with the Williamstown Woman's Club as hostess group.

The election of a Vice Governor And a Recording Secretary will highlight the business session. Each club will submit a report in skit form not to exceed four minutes. Mrs. J. S.

Duvall of Carrollton. Chairman of Judges, will be aided representative from each club in deciding the outstanding report presentation. Awards will be presented to winners by Mrs. Pearce. Ribbons will be awarded winners in an art exhibit to be held in connection with the meeting.

Entries are to be limited to members of the KFWC and will be in three classes, oils, water colors and crayon, airbrush contest and ink. poster boosting Art Observance Week and in recognition of American Art Week November 1-7 will take place for school children. Women's Welfare Club. Plans for a pound party to be given Friday for the benefit of Speers Memorial Hospital, Dayton, were made at a meeting of the Campbell County Women's Welfare Club Monday at Newport Gospel Tabernacle. On this day schoolchildren throughout the county will bring to their schools pound cans or packaged foods for this worthy cause. Mrs. Fred Anschutz is general chairman in charge of distributing circulars to the schools.

She will be assisted by Mrs. Harry Walker, who will see that circulars are distributed in the Newport Schools; Mrs. George Stuckwisch, to the Southgate Schools; and Mrs. Margaret Posey, to the Fort Thomas Schools. School in outlying districts also will receive circulars.
