SUNDAY, JANUARY 9,2005 REGIONAL THE HAYS DAILY NEWS A7 Deaths Catherine Mary Comeau Catherine Mary Comeau, 82, Plalnvllle, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at her home. She was born April 7,1922, in Olpe to Emanuel and Anna (Burnheide) Klumpe. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School, 'graduating in 1940.

She married Ralphael Alphonse Comeau on Oct. 14, 1942, in Loraine, Ohio. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Parish, Plainville, a charter member of the daughters of Isabella, Our Lady of Olives Circle No. 873, Sacred Heart Ladies Guild and the Plainville Rural Hospital Auxiliary Survivors include five sons, Father Ronald R. Comeau, Aurora, Ontario, Perry J.

Comeau and wife Cynthia, Oelwein, Iowa, Roger L. Comeau and wife Linda, Plainville, David L. Comeau, Denver, Charles G. Comeau and wife Shirley, Plainville; and a daughter, Catherine A. Comeau Schaukowitch, OJathe; 11 grandchildren, Eric Comeau, Chad Comeau, Ryan Comeau, Matthew Comeau, Brad Comeau, April Comeau Brack, Brianne Comeau, Mark Schaukow- itch, Adam Comeau, Alex Comeau, Colin Comeau; a brother, Marvin Klumpe, Madison; two sisters, Arlene Williams, Leawood, and Bertha Kutz, Hayes Center, eight great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Avery Grace, Sophie, Stewart, Will, Gretchen Katherine, Ava Aroon and Adelene Catherine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on March 12,1983, twin sons Philip and Leroy, a grandson, Andrew Comeau, her brother, Herman Klumpe, and a sister, Leona Rossillion. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville, with Father Ronald Comeau, Father Joseph Popelka, Bishop Pazak, Father John Lager and Father John Maxwell officiating; burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plainville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

today at the Moore- Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville. A Ladies Guild Rosary will be at 5 p.m. today with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. fol- lowed by a Daughters of Isabella rosary, all at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church sent in care of the funeral chapel.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Wllma Eileen Sowers, 89, Gem, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, in Eureka, Calif. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.

Doris Hagman, 87, ington, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in Kensington. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. John Lutheran Church, Kensington; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Slmmons- Olliff'Boeve Memorial Chapel, Smith Center. Walter Pfannenstiel, 62, former Cozad, resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at his home in Hudson, Colo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m.

Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Cozad; burial in the Cozad Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the church. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the Funeral Home, Cozad.

Power Betty A. Power, 79, Omaha, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Friday Jan. 7, 2005, in the Brighton Garden Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 18,1925, in Kirwin to Marion and Martha (Cushman) Klontz.

She married Thayne Power on April 9,1944, in Kirwin. He died April 5, 1984. Survivors include a son, Kent Power, Grantville; two daughters, Pat Fellows, Omaha, and Belinda Praeuner, Battle Creek, a sister, Jean Zimmerman, Wichita; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Kristi Jackman Kristi M. Jackman, 61, Hays, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at her home. She was born Feb. 23,1943, in Grant, to Charles and Marjorie (Sands) Jackman.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Thorell and wife Patsy, and his children, Jacob and Peyton, Hays, and Brice Thorell and wife Jani and their children, Paige and Brooke, Hoi- dredge, and two brothers; Roger Jackman, Naperville, 111., and Dave Jackman, Milwaukee, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Scott Jackman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine, with Delbert Stanton officiating; burial in the Fort Hays Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m.

8, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Center. Services are pending with Janousek Funeral Chapel, La Crosse. Harold F. (line Harold Cline. 80.

Victoria, died Thursday. Jan. (i. 2005. at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 30. 1924. in Maple Hill to James P. and Serena (Brunner) Cline.

He graduated from Havensville High School in 1941. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He married Carol Jane McCullough on Dec. 28, 1950, in I'aola.

He was a funeral director and embalmer for over 50 Years. He attended the College of Mortuary Science at St. Louis, and the College of Mortuary Science at Cleveland, Ohio. Ho worked in Paola and Kansas City, before moving to Victoria. In H)BO, he and his wife started Cline's Mortuary in Victoria, and then purchased the Doilies Brothers Funeral Home in Kusscll in 1972.

He sold the Russell Funeral Homo in 1989. He was a member of the Kansas Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, the Hays American Legion, the Victoria Veterans of Foreign Wars and of which he was past commander, the Victoria Knights of Columbus Third degree and Fourth degree assembly, and St. Fidelis Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Carol Cline, of the homo; a daughter, Cindy Ubert and husband Robert, Overland Park, five sons, Craig Cline and wife Jane, Sterling, Chris Cline and wife Doris, Gorham. Kevin Cline and wife Wendy, Mulvane, Kirk "Cookie" Cline and wife Debi, Hays, and Carl Cline and wife Kelly, Lawrence; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, John Cline and wife Dorothy, Havensville, and Paul Cline and wife Fern, Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Cline and Maurice Cline, and a sister, Gloria Lewis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery with military honors by Victoria VFW.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7 p.m. today and a Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth degree rosary with the VFW joining will be at 7:30 p.m. today. The Fourth degree of will stand honor guard from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria.

A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Visitation will bo from 1 to 9 p.m. today, from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.

Tuesday, all at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Hays Medical Center Foundation or Masses. Alfred Harm SaathofT Alfred Harm SaathofT, 87, Russell, died Thursday, Jan. 6.

2005. at his home. He was born Nov. 8,1917, in Marshall to Menno and Agnes (Heggy) Saathoff. He was a U.S.

military veteran of World War II. He married Georgia Lancaster in February of 1949. She died Aug. 20, 1950. He married Anna L.

Boydston in October 1951. She died in September of 1998. He worked in the heating and air conditioning business. Survivors include a son, Alan D. Saathoff, Overland Park; a daughter, Alene Rageth, Russell; three sisters, Wilma Linkugel, Lincoln, Edna Leseburg Herkimer, and Corrine Westwood, Stockton, six grandchildren; four great-granddaughters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Chapel, Assembly of God Church, Russell; burial in the Russell City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m.
