Monaca, Aug. 18-(AP)-A 59-year-old woman signed a statement admitting that she shot and killed a mother of two children and seriously wounded the victim's brother-in-law, Detective Michael Kane of Beaver County said today. The victim of the early morning shooting, Kane said, was Mrs. Iva McKelvey, 33, New Brighton.

Mrs. McKelvey's brother-in-law, Thomas McKelvey, was wounded in his neck and arm and is a patient at Rochester Hospital. Kane said Mrs. Dora Gamble admitted the shootings. "Mrs.

Gamble told us she shot Mrs. McKelvey and that she fired at when he attempted to intervene. The shooting climaxed an argument," Kane said. Kane said McKelvey had lived at Gamble home several years and that yesterday he brought his sister-in-law the residence. The detective added: "Mrs.

Gamble is being held and will be charged with murder in connection with Mrs. McKelvey's death and with felonious shooting in the wounding of McKelvey." 1500 Babies Enter Show; Winners Named At Zoo Five hundred babies competed yesterday in baby contests at the Zoo Food and Home Show.
