services were held there Sunday He was born at Champaign Illinois Oct 5 1851 the eldest of eight child ren Three sisters and one brother survive him Dr Hunter was married to Etta Jane Strothers on March 19 1878 at Hubbard Iowa To this union six children were born two dau ghters preceded their father in death Survivors are the widow three daughters Mrs Dora Bea man who has made her home with her parents in Eureka for the past 9 years Mrs Charles White and Mrs Carrie Norman both of Los Angeles Calif and Charles Hunter of Havre Dr Hunter was graduated from a medical college in Chicago in 1883 and practiced in Iowa until 1912 when the family came to Montana for Mrs health They settled on a homestead north of Havre later moving into Havre He was elected coupty commis sioner in 1920 and
