Complaints from residents adjacent to the Central and High School Building relative to smoke and soot coming from the heating plant in these buildings was received and discussed. 2, 186:, and died at the home of his son Kenneth E. Powers in Detroit Dec. 30, 19-13, at the age of 82 years, three months and 28 days. He WAS one of 11 children born to Oliver T. and Elvira CunnlnKham Powers.who came as pioneers in 1852 to Ransom township.

Besides his four children he leaves eight grandchildren one nf whom Pvt. Estel P. Housman is stationed in the Hawaiian Islands, and one Steal-grandchild LynKta Rao. daughter of Robert Gray and Vera Housman Cray of Hudson. He Is also survived by two sisters Mrs.

Mary Burt 92 years old nf Hudson and Mrs. Lucy V. Croop of Los Angeles and one brother George Powers of Ransom. Mr. Powers spent HIP greater part nf his life as a farmer nn the oKI homestead near Ransom.

In 1925 after a years residence in Hillsdale IIP moved to Detroit where he was employed as a caretaker in Woodlawn cemetery for a num- nf years until he retired in 193-1. Mrs. Catherine Keltrlsrhles Mrs. Catherine Beitelschies. widow of Jacob Beitelsi'hles.
