Dilly Deli tasting This Sunday from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Dilly Deli Wines and Gourmet hosts its annual holiday wine tasting extravaganza, featuring 30 wines and six beers, food to accompany them and a special opportunity to buy Reidel crystal glasses at a discount. Holidays at the vineyards If you re looking for somewhere a little different to go on New Year's Eve, think of Valley Vineyards in Morrow. Its steak grill-out dinners continue all year long, including on the last night of the year. You grill your own strip steak, accompanied by salads, baked potato, green beans and a homemade dessert buffet. And you get a bottle of wine, all or $50 per couple. They'll send you home at 11 p.m., so plan, on watching the ball drop elsewhere.

Valley Vineyards is also hosting a special Christmas affair 7-10 p.m. Dec. 7, with spiced honey mead, champagne, hors d'oeuvres and jazz by the Anderson Rhodes Trio. It's $28, and reservations are required. 2276 U.S.

Nlhj bmpbfll New Jablonsky spot Elliot Jablonsky has bought the restaurant on Hyde Park Square that was most recently Vince and Jake's though many people still think of it as the home of J.B. Winberie. Jablonsky will open it in late January as Red on the Square, a contemporary steak and lobster house. The long, narrow space is currently being remodeled.

"We are changing every surface in the says Jablonsky. "It's going to be more elegant, softer you could say more feminine." The menu will be about 60 percent steak, 40 percent other entries, including risotto, pasta, 1-pound live Maine lobsters and 1-pound South Africa lobster tails. The wine list will reflect the selection down the street at Jablonsky's other Hyde Park restaurant, the Vineyard, but will include more cabernets, white burgundies and other steak and lobster-friendly wine. Vito's White Christmas Vito's Cafe in Fort Thomas is reprising its White Christmas Eve buffet. Everything is white and sparkly: the decorations, the candles on the table, even the food.

There's roast pork loin and turkey, baked sole, whipped potatoes, ravioli alia panna, asparagus with white sauce and cauliflower. Desserts include coconut cheesecake and white chocolate mousse.
