Auto Racing Writer TALLADEGA Ala (AP) Richard Petty and the Allison brothers Donnie and Bobby three of stock car great chargers are favored in the first running Sunday of the Winston 500 a 180 miles Sports Association will in augurate the new 175 mile road course at Charlotte Motor Speed way on Saturday and Sunday May 22 23 Registration for the ormula 100 entries of the Charlotte Chal lenge races and the IMSA GI Series machines of the Piedmont 3 Hour race will begin riday irst activity on the new twist ing road course will come at 10 am on Saturday morning when the first practice session for both groups is slated ollowing a half hour lunch break the track will reopen for the second prac tice and set up period as the drivers and crews search for the right suspension settings and driving
