m. Friday, going to Minneapolis. WALLACE ADDS BOOST. Washington, February 17iINS) Vice President Henry A. Wallace back from a speaking tour in the West, predicted today President Roosevelt would be reelected for a fourth term whether he wishes to run or not.

Wallace was asked point blank' if Mr. Pvoosevelt is a candidate to succeed himself for another four 1-ears in the White House. "I don't know," smiled the Vice President, "but I think he will be nominated, whether he wishes it or not, and I am sure he will be elected for a fourth term." Wallace said the Democratic party had become the party of the liberals and the people. He asserted he found liberals and plain people uniting behind the Roosevelt banners along the western coast and in that hard-fought political battleground of the Middle Vv'est.

W'ailace smilingly answered questions as to whether he thought he would be the President's cho.ee for, vice presidential nominee at the Chicago convention by shrugging end saying: "It is in the lap of the gods." "LIES IN FUTURE." "Did you say in the lap of the gods, or lap of the a reporter asked. Wallace replied that what he really meant was that the matter' was in the hands of the future. Listed As TreaSOll Aiiwiiran Legion Official. Who Includes All Forms Of Production Hindrances. R. Worth Siitimaker, assistant di rector of the National Americanism Commission of the American Le gion, declared last night that the legion has urged that "lockouts, strikes, deliberate delays, profiteer ing, unjustifiable absenteeism and other forms of selfish interference with war production be deemed treason and dealt with accordingly." He spoke in Laws Auditorium, University of Cincinnati, on "The Schools and The Peace Program For America." His talk, sponsored by the Alpha Iota Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, was the second in a series of three. As to the legion's postwar planning policies, Shumaker said: "We believe that all immigration for permanent residence in the United States should be barred from the date of the end of hostilities in this war until unemployment has dropped to less than 1,000,000 and until our 12,000,000 returning veterans have secured emloyment." In touching upon a postwar: school program, Shumaker advo cated "universal military training in our schools," then added: What we teach now, and in the postwar period, will determine our future for the next 100 years.
