Network, will be presented as a one-hour prime-time special event Thursday, Sept. 8 Along with special guests Soupy Sates, The SyJvers and the DwightTwilly Band, the hour of shenanigans will feature surprise guest Darth "Star Wars" Vader, of the current smash-hit film, plus other "surprise guests," and cameo appearances by Marty Allen, Jim "Mister Magoo" Backus, Carol Burnett, Jonathan Harris, Harry Nilsson, Gary Owens, and Loretta "MASH" Swit. Also starring will be members of the "Wacko" gang, led by Julie McWhirter, Bo Kaprall and Charles Fleischer. 'The Wacko Saturday Morning Preview and Other Good Stuff Special" is a project of Payson-Odin Productions. Chris Bearde and Bob Wood are executive producers.

The comedy hour was produced by Coslough Johnson, Richard Adam son and Kathe Connolly, and directed by Stanley Dorfman. The script was written by Rick Kellard, Bob Comfort and Bo Kaprafl. Alexander Hamilton was music director. The hour spotlights brief live-action comedy bits in a zany melange of prankish blackouts and fast-paced musical numbers combined with excerpts from live-action and animated series that will headline the regular fall schedule of Saturday morning programs on the CBS Television Network. Returning series that will share in the special salute are "The Bugs Runner Hour," "In the News," "The Adventure Hour," "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids," 'The Secrets of Isis" and 'The CBS Saturday Film Festival." Three colorful woodpecker, pelican and ride colorful skateboards of all different shapes, and are constantly pursued by Scat Cat (left), are "The Skatebirds," who serve as hosts of four program elements each week, both animated and live, in the new Saturday morning series of that title, beginning 10 a.m.) on the CBS Television Network.

The segments include "The Bobonic Stooges," "Wonder Wheels," Mystery Island" and "Woofer and Wimper." THE GAZETTE PAGE 23.
