Bloomberg News NEW YORK Corp. says it is talking to several cable television companies about alliances, which could helo.it otter local telephone and high-speed Internet access using cable wires. Chief Financial Officer Dan iel Somers, though, warned that the telephone company won't pay for the irnpi ovements needed so the cable systems could offer things like phone service.
