BEAUTY REST MATTRESS $79.50 WHITE STORES, INC ROM Ant May 31, 1962 An open. letter to the Editor: On Tuesday night, May 29th, approximately 17 awnings In McKinney were ripped and cut up, obscene words were written in big bold red letters on downtown buildings, a transmission was stolen from a truck. What wrong with a town the size of McKinney when this amount of vandalism can take place in a single evening in a downtown section of the town. Do we have adequate police protection in our town? Does our Chief of Police have enough men for patrol duty, enough radio-equipped cars for patrol? Why is the police department in McKinney a training center for policemen to train and then have to take jobs in other towns. Why are 9 out of 15 policemen now employed here seeking employment elsewhere? Are we providing our youth with recreation to keep them out of trouble and if not, why don't we have recreation for them? Why was the Texas Textile Mill Recreation Center taken from us? These and other questions will be asked tonight at the meeting.

If you are interested in the answers, attend the City-Council meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall, GRADY E. POPE MERCURY COMET Buy Your New Mercury Or New Comet From PROCTOR MOTOR CO. SALES SERVICE WE MAKE OUR OWN TERMS AND CARRY OUR OWN NOTES So, Tenn. Ph.
