People stood six or eight the auditorium, and half that deep in.the east end of the lecture room, which is the part of the building least adapted to hearing the preacher. Andy Ireland, head usher, is an ar- tisl in his line. He was assisted by more than a dozen nien from the different churches.

They disposed of more than 'fifteen hundred people without getting their wires-crossed in a single instance, and there wasn't Ihe slightest disorder. The names the ushers, as far as was possible tu obtain them, are: First Methudisl. A. C. Ireland, Cory Ireland.

Of course they admit the usefulness-, of the sisters, and rtre mighty glad to have them come to church, but they get a double welcome if Ihcy bring the brothers along.

The evangelists probably think the women's souls are just as valuable as the men's, but the men are harder lo say the a rule special efforts are made in their behalf. Dr. Munhall preached on the authenticity of the Bible last night, and took perhaps half an hour "to his own satisfaction at story of Jonah and the whale. Probably not one-tenth of the people cared anything about the old whale, but whether-they did or not, they got a good dose of him last night. The remaining hour of this he preached a straight hour and a half- gave more proofs of the authenticity and infallibility of the Bible, and he gave some -wonderful instances of the efforts at its destruction that have been made, and which have failed.

He told how. if all the Bibles tlie world were would-still be impossible to eradicate Us influence. The work of nearly every writer of note contains many scriptural allusions and many direct quotations. Nearly all the great paintings in the world are scriptural subjects, and carry with them the teachings of the Bible. These, -with a number of other most aptly told, show what a big job the man who would destroy Ihe Bible would have on his hands.

"In fact," said Dr. destruction of the Bible is an impossibility; it of divine, not human, origin, hence no human power can destroy it." The singing was good, as it is every nighl, and the choir loft was crowded lasv night. Mr. Lowe has a personality which makes.thc people sing whether they want to or not. Mark and Baxter, the singing and dancing comedians, were clever in their line and Charley Gano gave a black face monologue that was well received.

Hi Henry, rendered some beautiful solos, and responded 'to several encores. The last number in the olio, which -brought in nearly the entire company, was a new departure from the beaten path of minstrelsy, and brought out some new ideas. 'flic other night when Dr. Mimhail asked all those present al the revival meeting who believed.in paying' their honest debts to shake hands, iliere was general hand-shaking and grabbing of mils, which would have caused the heart of a professional collector to leap with joy. Among those who look part in this demonstration was a man who is known all over the town as a professional "dead beat," but he was seen pumping arms his neighbors as vigorously as if he didn't owe a cent.

The young people's meeting at the Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon was a great success. Fifteen hundred people were there, and there were 150 conversions. The theme of Mr. Munhall's talk was'''Don't waste your life," and he applied it so well to the lives of young men and women present that many felt the importance of settling the question ot their salvation then and there. Mr.
