"Expulsion is a heavy fine," said Superintendent Ron DeWitt. "(The option is) invoking a penalty, but it's giving them something meaningful to do, too." Options for volunteer activities could include Bethesda North Hospital and area senior centers, De-Witt said. In other action, the board hired Seasongood & Mayer as bond underwriters for the district's 6.8-mill tax measure passed last May. The firm was chosen from three finalists because of its list of references, DeWitt said. INDIAN HILL Primary school music teacher Barbara Watson was recently certified as a nationally registered music educator by the executive board of the Music Educators National Conference. Certification was granted by the conference based on teachers' commitments to professional growth, contributions to their school's musical life, cultivation of desired teaching conditions and dedication to music education. Watson has been with the district since 1988. LOVELAND At its Tuesday meeting, the board adopted a community service option for students facing expulsion or suspension for disciplinary problems. Some deed-transfer information may appear incomplete. In some cases, street numbers were not assigned at the time of transfer. The Enquirer publishes information received from Amerestate Inc.
