Yesterday was "art day" in the Eighth grade room of the Deadwood public school, and wa srecognized par-ticluarly by the classes. A reception was held in the Eighth grade room, In the Central building, during the afternoon, and some forty or fifty parents and patrons of the school were present at the exercises. The room was hung with a number of works in art, and there were numerous drawings that reflected very creditably upon the progress being made. The program touched 1 largely upon works of art.
