A young gentleman who arrived In Lead last week from Nebraska, and was fortunate enough to get a job clerking at once, Is not a bit backward In giving his opinion of that city and the sociability of the people there. He stated that city was a poor plaoa to bring one's wife to, as tha women were all treated alike, and are liable to bi Insulted at any time. A hasty opinion of a town and Its community la not al ways tha best one. From the present Indications It looks as though In tha near future a number of business men In Lead will turn over a new leaf, and only do a cash bust ness, aa they are getting vary tlrad of tha credit system. They find collections getting worse. Lots of persona who used to pay their bills regular are getting slack, Ilka tha others, and would rather blow in their wages than pay their honest debts. Those who dc a cash business are making money If any town should be a strictly cash town.
