Your brief question raises other questions chiefly concerning the cause of the liver enlargement Pin ning that down and correcting it can often reverse the enlargement Let me give you just a couple of prominent causes that come immedi ately to mind They have to do with the 'infiltration of 'massive numbers of fat cells into the organ That hap pens in diabetes that is not kept un der control It happens to the obese and it happens to people who abuse the liver with too much alcohol in gestion The liver ns I've noted here on nu merous occasions is an industrious and resilient organ capable of over coming great hardships to resume its vital roles An enlarged liver does not function at 100 percent efficiency but once you eliminate the causes of enlargement it usually returns to normal Did your own doctor refer to any specific cause of your liver enlarge ment?
