Lower overall ratings Unfortunately for the networks, a typical week also meant lower viewing numbers. The three networks had a combined audience share percentage of sets in use of 67.

The season average has been 68. Three-network shares had soared into the 80s earlier this month when CBS ran Lonesome Dove.
