5 Death Notices RUWE Harry A. Whitesel, 88 after a short illness at Jewish Hospital. He was a resident of Springfield Township. He was employed by the General Electric where he developed refrigeration and air-conditioning products. Mr.

Whitesel also was director of research and development at Amana Refrigeration. From 1964 to 1966, he served on the headquarters staff of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers in New York City. Mr. Whitesel graduated in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois in 1924. He received a master's in 1946 from Columbia University.

He was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Honorary Electrical Engineering Fraternity and Tau Beta Pi Honorary Engineering. He grew up on a farm in Illinois, and his life revolved around the family ties forged there, said his daughter, Rachel Jordan. William William L. Hater, longtime manager of St. Joseph Old Cemetery, died Sunday at St.

Francis-St. George Hospital. The Price Hill resident was 84. "We lived right on the grounds," said his daughter, Helen M. Burger, of Livonia, Mich.

Mr. Hater was a member of Knights of Columbus, Knights of St. John and Golden Swingers golf league. He relaxed by hunting, fishing and coaching a softball team. Besides his daughter Helen, survivors include his three sons, William J.

of Price Hill, Robert E. of Western Hills and John R. she said. "But family was his top priority. He had strong family roots from the farm he came from a family of eight children." In addition to Mrs.
