Upper B*s Metne* Thursday, May 14, 19S9 City Man Recently Swea Wed In Minnesota Sw«a City »- The T^rst Lutht-r- an church at Grove City, Minn, wns the sotting April 18 of tht> marriage of Marilyn lone Fnlk. daughter of Mr and Mrs Otto Falk -of Grove City, and Laurel Peterson, son of Mr and Mrs Rudolph Pe'erson of S\vca City. The bride, given in marriage by hor father, wore a gown of French chantilJy Lico designed with n fitted bndico and accented by a high scoop flowrr-appliqucd neckline. The long sleeves came to points over the wrists. The full skirt had a tierred back and short ^haped train. The finger tip veil fell from a queen's crown of pearls and rhincstones. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies centered by red garnet roses. The bride's only jewelry was a single cultured pearl on a chain, a gift of the bridegroom. Matron-of-honor was the bride's sister, Mrs Leo Schultz. bridesmaids were Joyce Schultc and Betty Ann Swanson. Debbie Nyman of Bancroft was flower girl and Gayland Larson of Grove City was ring bearer. Allen Peterson served his brother as best man and groomsmen were Gary-Babel and Kevin Thorson. The ushers were Russel Kronbeck and Kevin Thorson. A reception was held in the church parlors. The couple are now at home on a farm northwest of Swea City after a wedding trip. Mrs Peterson is a 1953 graduate of Grove City high school and Mr Peterson a 1953 graduate of Swea City hiah school, attended Iowa State College at Ames and served two years in the army and is presently farming with his father. Observe Anniversary The children of Mr and Mi's Leonard Swanson held Open House for their parents May 3 in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary, • The children present were Mr and Mrs Duane Swanson and Mr and Mrs Don Jaqua and family of Fairmont, Minn.; Mrs Marshall Swanson and.Lanny of Armstrong and * Charlotte and Cdnnis at home. Marshall, in the service at Pendleton, Calif., was unable, to attend. The. center ,of the table ( -held ti t three tiered,wedding cake baked ••by Mrs./.Neimer of Fairmont, -"Minn. Johnson took care,of the 'cards and gifts. Mrs Kenneth ^Mullarkey and the daughters , and daughters-in-law helped in " the kitchen, with -the serving. I Mr and.
