Such were the highlights of, father and son occupational poll sponsored by The Salt Lake Tribune. i The only type worker who would pursue the sapie occupation and advise his son to follow in his footsteps is the professional-managerial person. worker least likely to adopt the same trade and want his son to have a similar job is the blue-collar employe. Since it is human nature to speculate on what would happen if time could be turned back, a cross-section of Utahs labor force was asked these questions: Education played a prominent role in results, with college graduates expressing the highest satisfaction, both for themselves and sons. The happiest workers of all were managers, professional people and farmers.

These results were produced by a cross-section survey of Utah families, based on 609 personal interviews. The study was conducted by Bardsley Hashlacher, an independent and impartial research organization, with 26 years experience in Utah polling.
