Mel Bay, Algona grocer, was named to replace McQui&lon on the board. McQuiston had scrV- ed as a trustee since June, 1051. and listed business and personal reasons for quitting in his letter of resignation. He was regarded as a valued and important member of the bo"Srd. Arrangements were completed with the RoWat and Murray engineering firm of Fort Dodgo for an engineer to serve with City Engineer Chet Schultz two days each week during the month of May. The Rowat and Murray engineer will then be able to handle the city's engineering problems after Schultz leaves ai the' end of May Until a new engineer can be hired by the council. , Schulta will be employed by Hubbell Real Estate in Des I Moinesi At least eight men have filed applications for the city engineer's job but final decision on the new engineer has not been made to date.
