Born June 30, 1902, in College Springs, lowa. The daughter of John F. and Sarah Margaret Mitchell Harper, she moved to Clarinda, IA at the age of 12 and to Chicago at the age of 16. She graduated 1919 from Hyde Park High School. She worked in Chicago before attending Muskingham College, in new Concord, OH.

Graduating in 1927. She married Milton W. Irwin in Chicago and then they moved to the Irwin Family Farm, East of College Corner, in 1928. Mr. Irwin died on November 8, 1971.

Mrs. Irwin moved to Oxford in 1972 and then to the Mt. Healthy Christian Home, where she has resided since 1976. She was a life-long member of the United Presbyterian Church, presently in Sycamore, OH. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M.

Sunday, at Pike Community Hospital in Waverly. Born February 19, 1891 to Conrad and Elizabeth Shock Vallery. He was united in marriage, February 21, 1917 to Hazel Marie Gregg, who preceded him in death November 2, 1978. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William Gregg (Bill) and Margebeth Vallery, of one grandson, Gregg McKinley Vallery, of and two great-grandchildren, Christine Nicole and William Jacob Vallery, also of Cinti. Mr.

Vallery operated a Hardware store in Waverly from 1912-1980. He was a graduate of Waverly High School and attended Ohio State University. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Waverly Building and Loan Company and a life member of the Pike County Fair Board and a past President of the Ohio Hardware Assn. A member of the Ohio Implement was active in the Waverly Retail Merchant and since 1937 he called Bingo at the monthly Lake White Club dinners. He raced standard bred horses on the Southern Ohio circuit.

He was a race announcer and he headed the Ohio State Fair Speed Committee for four and was active in the Waverly United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5 at 1 P.M., at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Walter B. Custer, officiating. Burial will follow in Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery.
