"A lot of the big, fancy homes in Indian Hill have his fireplaces," his son said. Mr. Reichel kept busy after retiring at age 72 by babysitting in his neighborhood, building small projects for friends and neighbors, and tending to animals. He enjoyed learning, too. "Even though my dad didn't have much of an education, he read every German book in the library," Reichel said.

"He was a wise man." Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road, Groesbeck. The funeral will follow there at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to Franciscan Missions, 1615 Vine Cincinnati 45210.

The Cincinnati Enquirer If you know the right places to look around Greater Cincinnati, you will find signs of William 0. Reichel's stone creations. Two such spots are St. William's Church in Price Hill and the old St. Gregory Seminary in Mount Washington.

Mr. Reichel and a partner started Reichel-Rethman Masonry in 1940. He served in the German army in World War I. During World War II, he worked for local defense contractors, building foundations for plant machinery. He also worked as an air raid warden.

Mr. Henderson died of liver complications March failed in repeated attempts to get; Gammon to answer his telephone.1 About 7 p.m., SWAT team members fired five tear gas canis-i ters at the house, and two pene-i trated rear windows. Shortly afterward, Gammon an-; swered a phone call and told' SWAT negotiator George Russell that he was afraid that he would be! hurt if he came outside. "We brought a friend up on the porch ahead of us to show we had' no intention of hurting him," nego-! tiator Don Andrews said, and Gam- mon came out. 1 ton SWAT team removed 78 shotguns and rifles and 50 handguns from Hay's house.

The standoff began about 2:20 p.m. when Kenton County sheriff's deputies tried to serve Gammon with a mental health committal warrant. Ludlow Police Lt. Dennis McCarthy said Gammon had mental health problems and had threatened his mother. He said a complaint from Hay's 'mother had instigated the committal warrant.

Police evacuated three neighboring homes, and negotiators THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER A 37-year-old Ludlow man who had 128 guns and rifles in his house surrendered to police peacefully Wednesday night after a five-hour standoff. Liberty Cincinnati 45210. Extra patrols ordered for Greyhound State news Slain man's suspect-son had moved into homd Saturday night, a Louisville-bound bus from the same company was fired on in Tennessee on 1-65 near the Kentucky line. The driver, critically wounded, is recuperating in a Nashville, hospital; none of the 46 passengers was hurt. Greyhound's 6,300 drivers and about 3,000 office and maintenance workers walked off the job March 2 in a dispute about wages and job security. It has operated on a reduced schedule since then using permanent replacements and union members who cross picket lines.

In Dallas, Greyhound officials Wednesday offered free bus trips through Easter to passengers delayed on Northeast routes. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS LOUISVILLE, Ky. Gov. Wallace Wilkinson ordered Kentucky State Police Wednesday to increase patrols along the routes of strike-torn Greyhound Bus Lines because of sniper attacks on buses. The leader of the union representing striking Greyhound drivers called for the violence to stop and denied that his group was to blame.

State police would step up patrols on all Greyhound routes entering the state, the agency and Wilkinson's office said. Aircraft and cruisers both marked and unmarked would be used, officials said. Wilkinson said in a statement that he "will not tolerate violence toward our citizens or others involved in interstate travel." Ed Strait, president of Amalgamated Council of Greyhound Local Unions, said: "We certainly aren't doing this. We want to get back in to negotiations. I wish whoever's doing this would stop.

They're not helping; they're hindering. We're not on strike against the public." The latest attack was Tuesday when a Southeastern Trailways bus was hit by sniper fire on Intei-state 65 north of Upton, about 50 miles south of Louisville. Neither the driver nor the lone passenger was injured. THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER Jonathon Boyer last month moved into his father's Mount Washington home, the son's attorney said Wednesday as Boyer was arraigned on a charge of murdering his father. The younger Boyer is in the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $100,000 bond after the body of Terrence Boyer, 52, of the 5300 block of Aspen Knoll Court, was found Tuesday in his back yard.

The son, 25, had been living with his mother in Belleville, 111., a suburb of St. Louis, his lawyer, Arnold Morelli, said during an arraignment Wednesday in Municipal Court. Police declined to release details about the killing Wednesday. Lt. William Fletcher, Violent Crimes Squad commander, would not comment on the condi- tion of the body.

The coroner's report had not been completed, i Morelli said Boyer moved in with his father March! 25. Police believe the murder occurred Saturday.
