Galbraith, one of the founders of the Princeton City School District in 1955 and a former president of the Cincinnati Historical Society, was a man of action.

"He was a leader," his wife, Virginia, said. "He got on boards, and he knew how to get things done." Mr. Galbraith, a retired lawyer and U.S. Army captain at the Pentagon during World War II, died Friday at his Glendale home. He 79.

Forming the Princeton City School District was not done without a fight, Mrs. Galbraith said, adding that he was president of the Glendale Board of Education when he took steps to consolidate districts that included Crescentville, Evendale, Woodlawn, Glendale, Sharonville and Springdale. The Princeton City School District's creation was not complete until the Ohio Supreme Court ruled the consolidation was legal. March 5 Vitt Stermer choice. Galbraith said the move was the highlight of his presidency. Mr. Galbraith also served as president of the University Club, the Society of Colonial Wars of Ohio and the Estate Planning Council. He was also a member of the Gyros, Cincinnati Bar Association and Literary Club. "Reading was one of his favorite hobbies," Mrs.

Galbraith said. "He was quite a Civil War buff." Mr. Galbraith retired from the firm of Rendigs, Frey, Kiely and Dennis in 1978. He also is survived by a sister, Josephine Marks, of Berkley, three sons, Robert, of Springdale, Peter, of Webster, N.Y., and Jim, of Glendale; a daughter, Susan, of Hamilton; and two grandsons. Services will begin at 11 a.m.

Tuesday at the Glendale Presbyterian Church. The family will have a private burial. Even when she lost 90 of her eyesight, Mrs. Welti never let that stop her from roaring down Interstate 75 on the back of a two-wheeled vehicle. "She was a blind person that got active after she lost her sight. She was a remarkable woman," her sister, Mildred Roland, of Westwood, said. Mrs.

Mrs. Koenig, one of 12 children and a native of McConnelsville, Ohio, retired in 1976, from the University of Cincinnati Health Service. She worked there six years. The longtime Corryville resident moved to Groes-beck with one daughter, Merle Ann Koenig, and later with another daughter, Carolyn Honkomp, in Love-land. She became a registered nurse in 1922 in Springfield, Ohio, where she worked until marrying George M.

Koenig in 1923. The couple moved to Corryville, her daughter-in-law Geraldine Koenig said. Mr. Koenig died in 1950. Mrs.

Koenig left nursing to raise a family until about 1949. She worked for a pediatrician and did private duty nursing before going to UC. At UC, Mrs. Koenig worked in the first aid room Ruth T. (nee Jones), wife of the late Hans Fritschl, devoted mother of Hans R.

Mr. Kaltman and his wife, Roma Kaltman, were both Holocaust survivors. Both were natives of the same city Lodz, Poland. Mr.

Kaltman lost many family members to the Holocaust, The Kaltmans came to Cincinnati in 1950, speaking little English. Mr. Kaltman studied and became a master plumber, then opened his own company, Plumbing. He operated the business for 30 years. Outside of work, much of his time was spent in iactivities and organizations that involved the Holo- caust.
