Euclid Arlington Heights. Born July 28, 1 920, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at Marriott Church Creek Health Care Center in Arlington Heights. Interment is private. Prior to his retirement in 1983, Mr.

Araato had worked as an electrical engineer for Universal Oil Products in Des Plaines for 33 years. He was a volunteer for Friends of the Library in Arlington Heights and did tax consulting work for the American Association of Retired Persons (MRP). He was an active golfer and enjoyed reading. Mr. Amato was a veteran, having served in the Array during World War II.

He was the husband of Nora M. Amato (nee Lentz), whom he married Jan. 12, 1952, in Kansas City, father of Andrea (Edward) Jacob of Naperville and John Amato of Leland, III; grandfather of Angela, John Hf, Rachel, Nicholas and Andrea; and brother of Phyllis (Joseph) Rio of Westmont, Louis R. (the late Emily) Amato of Lisle and the late Samuel Amato, "Millie" Ponte and Nancy Amendala. A memorial visitation will take place from 3 to 9 p.m.

Bom May 8,1908, in Duncombe, Iowa, one of nine children, she died Tuesday, Nov. 30, J999, at the Lutheran Convalescent Home in Webster Groves, Mo. Upon completion of high school and followed by two years of business school in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Doris moved to Chicago where she worked and met her future husband, Dr.

Everett H. Janssen. They moved to Mount Prospect in the early 1930s where Everett was one of the first dentists to set up practice in the village. Doris was very' active at South Church, as well as a longtime member of the Mount Prospect Women's Club. She later worked as a secretary at Northwest Community Hospital (now Northwest Community Healthcare) in the emergency room.

Doris moved to Largo, Fla. in 1987, then lived with her daughter, Betty in Atlanta, prior to moving to the SL Louis area in 1926 to be near her daughter, Diane. Survivors include her daughters, Diane Davenport of University City, Mo. and Betty Roy of Geneva, Switzerland; son, Dr. Derwood Janssen of Dunedin, brother, Dr.

Norris retired from the Chicago Board of Education, after many years of service. A veteran, Mr. Redker was a private first class paratrooper in the 504 Parachute Infantry and received the Victory Medal, the American Theater Ribbon, the European-African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Battle Star, the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, three overseas service bars and the Good Conduct Medal for his service. He was a member of VFW Post and American Legion Post in Mundelein, and was also a member of the Chicago Cubs Die-Hard Fan Club. Surviving are his children, Nancy (Gary) Croft of Grayslake, Thomas Redker of Waukegan, Patricia (Bill) Fredsbo of Mundelein, and Jay Redker of Round Lake- grandchildren, Michael and Christine; and his two canine companions, Madison and Noodles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie L.

After graduating from New Trier High School, Mr. Rowe attended Kenyon College where he was a brother in the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity and a standout member of the swimming team. A veteran, he served his country in the Army for three years during World War H. Mr. Rowe worked for 41 years at the Chicago Tribune, eventually serving as sales manager for the western division Upon retirement from the Tribune in 1982 he worked for 10 years at the Daily Herald.

Dave was a former member of School Board in Northbrookand the board of directors of Goodwill Industries in Chicago, and was an active and enthusiastic member of the North Shore Senior Center. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cynthia Aldrich Rowe; children Lynwood Rowe (John Dahl, David Prescott Rou-e Jr. and Barbara Rowe (Gordon Roberts; grandson, Andrew Rowe Bosshard- and dear friends, Ellen Fagerburg and JiW and Tori Soltero. Interment will be private. A resident of Grayslake for more than 60 years, Fanny was a member of the Grayslake Women's Club as well.as a member of the "Avon Players" and the Grayslake Library Board. She taught piano lessons for many years. A professional musician, he played the saxophone in various bands and venues, once performing with Frank Sinatra. He was also employed by the Illinois Tollway Commission and Four Lakes Village in Lisle.

Mr. DeLegge was a member of the Chicago Federation of Musicians Union and a model railroad enthusiast.
