BUFFET FRENCH LOAF I* t - (, - - i '%«x$ I "•*,% ..' ' ', % cup ripe olives Prepared mustard 2 cups grated American cheese Sliced ham 3 tablespoons-mayonnaise .'• 1 loaf French bread . , Butter ."'.-..' Cut olives in small pieces. -Blend with cheese and mayonnaise,- Slice bread from top butlhot through,bottom crust, in,Js-inch slices. Spread slices apart gently and spread with softened butter on one side,.mustard on the other. Place slices of ham in every second cut, and spread cheese-olive mixture thickly in alternate cuts. Spread top of loaf lightly with butter. Place on baking sheet. Bake in moderate over (350 degrees F.) 15 to 20 minutes, until thoroughly heated. Serve at once, breaking sections apart. Serves 5 or 6 generously. APPETIZER CREAM PUFFS 375° oven, 25-35 minutes . 1/2 cup all purpose flour 2 eggs, unbeaten 4 dozen small cream puffs V4 ciip boiling water V* cup butter - Add butter to boiling water in saucepan and heat until butter melts. Add flour and stir vigorously until the batter forms a ball in the center of the pan. Remove from the heat an'd beat in the "eggs well, one at a time. Place spoonfuls of the batter on a greased cookie sheet, heaping them up well in the center. Bake at "375° for 25-35 minutes, Make a small slit in puff. Cool on cake rack. T6 serve, cut tops off and fill puffs with Blue Cheese and Chicken Salad. Replace tops, BLUE CHEESE AND CHICKEN SALAD 1 Vi cups 1 cup diced cooked chicken 2 tablespoons mayonnaise '/4 cup diced celery >' Salt anc) pepper to taste 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper Vi cup crumbled Blue cheese 2 teaspoons chopped onion .
