m. Major League Season Will Begin Tuesday on WCLO By ROLPH SCHROEDER Tuesday afternoon the major league teams swing into action in their drives for the pennants of their respective leagues. The Milwaukee Braves will begin their campaign with the Cincinnati Bedlegs at Cincinnati. The game is slated to start at 1:25 p. m.

with Earl Gillespie describing the play-by-play and Blaine Walsh handling the color between innings. All the 1954 games of the Milwaukee Braves will be cosponsored by the' Miller Brewing' Co. and several Janesville merchants. The slogan for the Braves this year is "Go Get 'Em Braves." News Roundup This afternoon brought listeners the first broadcast of a complete 30 minute roundup of the news on the world, regional and local scenes with commentary by Cedrie Foster. At 4 p.m.

Mr. Foster presents ids analysis of the news and at 4:15 p.m. a roundup of the state and local news is given along with late developments on the world scene. Also included is a summary of the day's activities on the stock market. This World News Roundup will be heard immediately following the afternoon Braves baseball games.

In the past the program' has been heard on Tuesday evenings but with several changes in the WCLO schedule it will now be heard at 9:30 Monday evenings. No advance information has been received as to the guest for tonight but the program presents top personalities in the news as its guests. Perry Como Show Climaxing its annual spring tour, Duke University Glee Club will appar on the Perry Como Show this evening at 6:45.. The 45-man group is to be heard in the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," "Dixie" and "This Is My Country" and ithen joins Perry in singing "Carolina Moon" and "Dear Old Duke." Duke's Glee Club has sung with Perry on numerous occasions in the past and is the second colle giate group to be heard on the.pro-j gram this year, Cornell having appeared earlier.

Gisholt Plant Strike Authorized MADISON Members of the CIO United Steel Workers, Local 1404, the Gisholt Machine Madison, have authorized a strike if the union does not have an acceptable contract by April 24. The Union, seeking wage increases and other benefits, has 1,304 members.
