Ricklefs will be hostess to her bridge club this evening, (Thursday). Mr and Mts Harold Hobson and Mrs Goldie Guderian returned Saturday from a three week's U-ip to Florida. Mrs Guderian visited her brother, Richard Furness at Jacksonville and the Hobsons, accompanied by Mrs Hobson's brother and sister-in- law, Mr and Mrs Henry Traeger, Sumner, toured the state. Cfwco Mother end DaughlM club will meet Thursday, Feb, 12 with Veronica Roethler. Mrs Alice Clayton 3s assisting hostess. Creseo Mother and Daughter club entertained their husbands and friends at a card party last Wednesday evening at the Moose hall. Mrs Albert Van Buren and Mrs John Weydert were in charge of the entertainment. 500 was played at 12 tables. It was a mid- semester vacation at Coe college where both are sophomores. Ladies night was held Wednesday evening at the Algona Country Club. Dinner was followed by cards. Mrs Robert C. LaBarre was chairman of the committee, Mrs Leo Cassel, co-chairman and committee members, Mrs William Barry, Jr., Delia Welter, Mrs Harold Fristedt, Mrs Oliver Johnson, Mrs Gerald Ferris and Mrs Rose Scanlon. New V.P., Iowa State Bank, Here Gordon C, Hall, new vice president of the Iowa State Bank, Algona, began his' duties with that institution Monday, Feb. 2. He came here from Wyoming, la. where he was on the staff of the Citizen's State Bank for, 14 years. The Halls have rented a home here and Mrs Hall will join her husband about Feb. 21. Their daughter, Connie, will complete her Junior year in high school at Wyoming before corning to Algona. '•• Other officers of the local bank are.Al Agona, president; F. L. McMahori, vice president and cashier; Ed Gilrnore, assistant cashier; and Harold Gilmore, former president, chairman of the board. The bank 1 is in its thirty-first year of operation here.
