THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER Sunday, December 26, 1971 Deaths And Funerals Roswell C. Kuhlman, Wrote City Tax Plan Services for Roswell C. Kuhlman, 82, 7463 Towerview Lane, Mt. Washington, former executive secretary of the Greater Cincinnati Brewer's Association, will be at the Wrassmann Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert at 2 p. m.

Wednesday. Visitation is from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Vine Street Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kuhlman, who died Friday at Christ Hospital, formerly was executive secretary of the Cincinnati Lumber and Millwork Association. He remained as a consultant to the Brewer's Association. He was a member the Syrian Temple, Knights Templar, Scottish Rite, Oola Khan Grotto, Royal Arch Masons and Norwood Lodge 576 of Masons. He was affiliated with the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters for 50 years.

In his early years he wrote the occupational tax ordinance for the City of Cincinnati and was an advisor to the Office of Price Admin- brewing executive istration. He is survived by his Ferdinand J. Derrick, 82, Founder Of Paint Firm Kuhlman Ferdinand Derrick, 82, 1673 Cedar College Hill, died Saturday at Providence Hospital. He was chairman of the board of the Perry Derrick Paint Norwood, and was one of the founding officers of the company in 1913. He was a past president of the Cincinnati Club, a past president of the Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association, a former member of no ok Country Club and Western Hills Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Gretchen; a daughter, Mrs. Russell' Sweeney; two sons, J. Michael and F. John; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Cincinnati. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m.

Tuesday at St. Clare Church. Visitation at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn after 4 p. Monday. Burial at Spring Grove.

Joseph Fischer Services for Joseph Fischer, 78, long time employee of Cincinnati Bell will be 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at the Gump-Holt Funeral Home, 3440 Glenmore Cheviot. Burial will be in Bridgetown Protestant Cemetery, Bridgetown. Mr.

Fischer, 4358 North Bend Green Township, died Friday at the Harrison House in Westwood following a long illness. He served Cincinnati Bell for nearly 28 years and was an installation foreman at the time of his retirement in 1952. He was a member of Kilgour Chapter No. 3 Telephone Pioneers of America, Columbia Lodge No. 44 and Western Hills Chapter 2548 VFW.

Mr. Fischer leaves his wife, Hilda; son, Joseph A. Fischer, a deskman with Cincinnati Bell; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Smell, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Mearl Gant, Tucson, and two grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-9 p. m. Monday at the funeral home. John W. Allen Funeral Mass for John William Allen, 77, formerly of Covington, will be 9 a.

m. Tuesday at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Mr. Allen, 1501 N. Johnson New Orleans, died Friday in Charity Hospital, New Orleans, from burns he suffered in an accident 10 days ago when he was burning leaves. He was a former resident of Covington where he worked as an iron construction worker. He moved to New Orleans 30 months ago.

Mr. Allen leaves a daughter, Mrs. Hilda Zornes, Covington; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Brown, Decatur, Mrs. Jane Cheek, Mrs.

Zora Colvet and Mrs. Pernie Welch, all of Lewisburg, and 12 grandchildren. Visitation is 4-9 p. m. Monday at Allison-Rose Funeral Home, Covington.

Robert Padgett R. Earl Padgett 81, 329 Linden Southgate, died Friday at the Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. He was chief engineer at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati for 33 years before retiring in 1962. Surviving are his wife, Norma one son, Robert E. Newport; three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the Concordia Lutheran Church. 1133 Clifton Hills Cincinnati. Burial, St. Stephen Cemetery, Southgate.

Visitation, from 5 p.m. until time of services. Memorials may be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church Building Fund. H. Dale Helmer Services for H.

Dale Helmer, 59, general foreman for the Avco Evendale, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Charles A. Miller Sons Funeral Home, 4138 Hamilton Ave. Burial will be in Spring Grove. Friends may visit the funeral home today 4-9 p.

m. Mr. Helmer died Thursday in Bethesda Hospital. He lived at 5011 Wooden Shoe Winton Place. With Avco for 35 years, he was a member of the Avco Management Club.

He is survived by a son, Michael Dale Helmer of Westwood; two sisters, Mrs. Pie (Eve) Traynor, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Ted (Jean Lucas) Rennegarbe, Cincinnati. Joseph Logan Thomas Kindle Requiem Mass for Joseph M. Logan, 73, who operated the old Elijah Creek urday at St.

Grand Cafe at 625 Main Street unCovington. He til his retirement 10 years ago, will metal worker. be in the St. Louis Church, Eighth wife, Elender; and Walnut at 9:30 a. m.

Marjorie Kiefer Fox, 1 Rural Lane, Clifton, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Weil Funeral Home. Mrs. Fox, 52, died Friday night after a long illness. For many years, until her illness, she was active in numerous civic, philanthropic, community and religious organizations.

Mrs. Fox volunteered her talents as author and lyricist for many productions for the United Fine Arts Fund, Summer Opera, May Festival and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She was promotion chairman for the WCET Action Auction in 1971, and wrote or collaborated on shows for Stage Incorporated, Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, Jewish Hospital Auxiliary, Glen Manor and Rockdale Temple, and was publicity chairman for the Angel Ball of the Council of Jewish Women. Mrs. Fox was a member of the boards of Rockdale Temple and its sisterhood, Jewish Hospital and Glen Manor.

A native Cincinnatian, she was a graduate of Walnut Hills High School and Smith College. During World War II, Mrs. Fox worked in Eleanor Roosevelt's office in research, where she wrote a radio Voice of the Volunteer," and in the Office of Civilian Defense. Mrs. Fox is survived by her husband, Frank M.

Fox; a daughter, Mrs. Sally Korkin, Cincinnati; a son, John, a student at the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania; a brother, Dr. Jack C. Kiefer, professor of mathematical statistics at Cornell University; and her mother, Mrs. Carl J.

Kiefer, Vernon Manor Hotel, Cincinnati. Dr. Victor E. Reichert and Rabbi Harold D. Hahn of Rockdale Temple will officiate at the services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society. Laemle T. Smith Laemle T. Smith, 64, a former Cincinnatian and Railroad coal traffic agent, died Saturday at home in Louisville of a heart attack. He lived at 5735 Marmion from 1947 to 1961, and he belonged to the Kiwanis Club and Fenwick Knights of Columbus Council in Cincinnati, as well as the Ohio Coal Exchange.

Mr. Smith, a World War II Navy veteran was an Army Reserve captain, is survived by his wife, Florence Androit Smith; a son, Lawrence Louisville! three daughters, Mrs. Kent Friel, Cincinnati, Mrs. C. M.

Schneider, Falls Church, and Miss Sharon Ann Smith, at home; two sisters, Miss Margaret E. Smith, and Mrs. W. T. Diebold, both of Louisville, and six grandchildren.
