Sunday, October 24, 1971 THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER U. rS Browns' Modell Chides Taxpayer CLEVELAND (U I) Owner Art Modell's response to a $1,040,000 suit against the Cleveland Browns for increasing ticket prices $2 per game this season was blunt: "We don't need any class action by a headline seeking taxpayer to remind us of our responsibility." The suit was filed in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court by attorney Edward R. Becker 29, of suburban Bratenahl, in behalf of all Browns' season ticket holders asserting the increase was in violation of the wage-price freeze. The suit asks that ihe Browns roll the prices back to last year's price and refund the increase. fl Get Atlas Til it if irzj 1 ii no rip LJUUU mm AP Wirephoto ffl IL.

1 position in total defense and to possibly gain a shot at the MAC title. Both dissipated under the Beegee might. Bowling Green, on the other hand, finished MAC play with an outside chance to catch undefeated Toledo, but those hopes hinge on Miami's meeting with the Rockets next Saturday. Now, though, the Falcons own second place. Although the Falcons' super runner Paul Miles didn't score he made his presence obvious.

The fourth leading rusher in the nation, Miles traipsed for 102 yards on the ground, the fifth time this season he's gone over 100 yards. Bowling Green accumulated 303 yards total offense against Miami which had held the opposition to 143 yards in five games. Besides the heroic beginning by Livas, fullback Jerry Fields rammed in from the one-yard line in the second period to elevate the Falcons to a 13-0 lead. A 15-yard Miami penalty helped the Falcon cause in their 80-yard drive. It was the first time this year Miami had been scored on in a rushing: play.

The Miami situation worsened in the third period and deteriorated in the fourth. In the third period BG quarterback Reid Lamport lofted a 36-yard TD pass to split end Roger Wallace, spiralling the Falcons ahead, 20-0. However, Miami defensive back Tim Raybuck pumped some life into the gasping Miami body in the fourth period when he stepped 50 yards to a touchdown with a punt return after a Bill Witte boot. Miami just before this marched to the BG two but the opportunity bogged down when halfback Bob Hitchens slipped on the wet turf at the four. If Miami did receive an inspirational boost from Raybuck earlier, it reached low ebb later when BG struck again on a second touchdown pass by Lamport.
