They all slar in "Surprise Package," Stanley Donen's off-beat comedy of the year for Columbia Pictures. Mrs Bessie Jones was recently visited by her son Harold, Milford. Mrs. Earl Sheppard had word Saturday of the dea'lh of a cousin. Mrs. Eel Davis, 85, of Nevada. Mrs Pete Halsrud, Mrs John Ilelmer and Amy Johnson spent Thursday afternoon in Whittemore with Mrs Pearl Hansen. Glen Rcney is in the Finnley hospital at Dubuque. He has been with Rev. and Mrs Robert Holzhammer the past few months. David PMllips will be here from Washington, D. C. to spend the holidays with his mother Mrs R. M. Phillips. Corrine Gabrielson has returned from Denver, Colo., where she attended a Farm Bureau convention. Dr. and Mrs L. R. Potter spent a few days last week at Schaller with Mr and Mrs Don McDonough and family. Mr and Mrs James Egli will be guests Christmas day of Mr and Mrs R. G. Swartzendruber at Manson. Mr and Mrs V. L. Gunder are going to Ames to spend Christmas with Mr and Mrs Al Stoots- bcrry. Mr and Mrs Robert Munger and family will be Christmas guests of Mr and Mrs Robert Truelson at Rolfe. Mr and Mrs Dick Buscher had the latter's mother Mrs Al Rahe, Bancroft as guest^i few clays last week. Mr and Mrs Jake Godden had as guests for a day last week Mrs Leo Fox and Mrs Russell Fox, Irvington. Mr. and Mrs. Lando Mishak plan to spend Christmas clay at Alta Vista with the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mishak. Mr. and Mrs. John Nauholz are going to Fairbanks for Christmas With the latter's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chase. They will be gone till after New Years. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Willqer will have as Christmas guests Mr. and Mrs, Gerald Yoigt and son of Fenton, Mrs. Sarah Geigel and Mrs. Mabel Paxson and Charles. Mrs Joe Tschelter drove to Perry Saturday to meet the son Ronnie who attends college at Kalamazoo, Mich, '-ie will be here till after 'the holidays. Dean Dodds, student at the Iowa State University, Ames, will spend the holidays with his parents, Mr and Mrs William Dodds. Mr and Mrs John Schimmel will have as guests Christmas Mr and Mrs Jerry Schimmel, Des Moines, and Mr. (and Mrs Daryl Jones, Laurens. Mr and Mrs Fred Erickson were visited by Mr and Mrs Severra Sotna, Fairmont, who were en- route to Apache Junction, Ariz., to spend the winter. Mr and Mrs Pete Halsrud attended a family lutefisk dinner Saturday evening at Hutnboldt. Their hosts wtre Mr and Mrs Maynard Tor.netison. Mr and Mrs Chester Schoby will have as Christmas guests Mr and Mrs Robert Hicks and children, Ames. Mrs Maude Nelson and Mr and Mrs Bud Ander-1 son. Bourne has gone to Palo Alto, Calif., to visit Mr and Mrs David Haggurt. Dr. Bourne and son Bill are leaving Dec. 21 to join her and all will be gone till after the holidays. They will leave. Friday. Mrs Nell McCall left Sunday for Sioux City where-she will visit a few weeks with Mr and Kolp will weekend and Mrs. Mrs James Griffith.
