District Court jury is scheduled to begin deliberating today over a marijuana smuggling conspiracy charge against an El Paso Tex businessman accused of financing a major drug smuggling operation Attorneys made their dosing arguments Thursday in the trial of George Dipp accused of financing a smuggling operation which allegedly flew 14 loads of between 1500 and 1800 pounds of marijuana into the Tonopah area Dipp also is accused of supplying part of the money useefby a previously convicted member of the smuggling ring to make a down payment On the purchase of the Tonopah airoort fixed base operation from State Sen Richard Blakemore Tonopah for use as a base in the smuggling operation STDist Judge Bruce Thompson said he would begin instructing the jurors at 10 30 am Samuel Pearlman
