Lakota bounced into a 24-13 bulge in the first eight minutes of action and from then on tho two teams battled on even terms, Lakota led, 42-29, at halftime and 57-47 at the throe-quarter mark. The Barrett brothers tossed in 30 points between them to give Lakota a thrr'e-pronEied attack, while Bredeson got most of his help from Benn who got IB points. Olson topped Thompson, with 17 counters. Lakota Cagers Get Fifth Win Lakota boys basketball team pulled out all stops in racing to a thrilling 79-67 win over Rake at Lakota Nov. 29. The win was LuVerne Cagers Win 3 Of 4 In Past Week LuVerne's basketball teams won three of four games played daring the past week. The girls turned in wins over Boonc Valley, 56-25, and Kanawha, 74-36, while the boys downed Boone Valley, 59-3U, and dropped a 5553 decision to Kanawha. The girls had no trouble winning either game. Mae Belle Maass led the scoring each night, getting 26 points against Boonc Valley and 37 against Kanawha. Bob Bristow was the top Lu- Verne scorer in both boys games. He flipped in 21 points in the win over Boone Valley and got 22 in the loss to Kanawha. Lu- .Verne led Kanawha until the last few seconds.
