Upp«r DM GRID GUESSERS CONTEST Bf Ol' Man Mose II was Ihe lightest contest of the year, last Saturday, wilh four out of the hundreds of entries coming up with 18 games picked correctly. Here the high game total of scores decided the victor, the Yale-Princeton total of 65. .u I. e J?-/ 51ccker> Titonka, took first place. He missed only the Pittsburg tie and Minnesota's defeat, and 59 high game Mary Zitlritsch, 315 North Hall, Algona, took stcond. She missed the Pittsburg tie and picked Nebraska, with 58 high game total. Sig Wood, 1010 E. McGregor, Algona, missed the Pittsburg tie and picked Minnesota, with 56 high game total. Right on iheir heeld was Don Ziitritsch, also with II right, but 55 for hgh game total. Honorable Mention goes to Nicky Mueller, Fenton; Sulanne Beisch, Marcella Zitiritsch, Bob Boldridge, Tony Zit- lritsch, Algona; and Mrs George Baumanh, Lakota, all with 17 games correct. With 16 games correct were Donald Beisch, Dorothy Householder, Richard Apple, Edward Mawdsley, Merrill Walker, Doug Medin, Ralph Moe, and Craig Lewellyn, Algona; Jim Meyez, Fenton; and Mrs Robert Kain, Whittemore. Most entries had from 10 to 15 games correct. If Phyllis Wiegand was trying for the Mourner's Bench she made it, with only four games correct out of 20. Incidentally, she picked Ohio State and Iowa to tie, and gave the nod to Purdue and the Boilermakers crossed her up and won. - ' There's another big week in the contest this wek, with the entry page to be found elsewhere in today's Upper Des Moines, same rules, same cash priies. Successful Sale Burl — The sUick'nls of the Burl Community School District sold $709.16 worth of magazines during October. Of this amount, the school gets to keep $282.07. Tin 1 General Activity Fund of the school benefits from the money. The seven high salesmen were Duane Hinckley, $134.44, JoAnne Ackerman, $74.41, Larry Wcst- lintf, $65.31, Robert Oilman, $51.45, David Rasmussen, $44.85, Janice Abbas, $41.55 and Eugene Gardner, $30.00.
