2 In Men Killed At Enquirer Shootout Kentucky Lake MURRAY, Ky. -Two men, one of them for murder, were killed Wednesday evening during a shootout at a boat dock on the B1 Blood River section of Kentucky Lake. State police identified one of them as Jackie Boyd, 29, Calloway County, who was sought in the shooting death Sunday of another Calloway County man, Eddie Hargrove, 25. The other shootout victim was Luther Charles Hamblin, 53, Lucasville, Ohio, who was on vacation accordinke with his family, to police. State I Police Capt.

Marvin Monroe said the Hamblin family--including Luther Hamblin, his wife and daughter and son, Samuel, an state trooperwere attempting launch a boat "when Boyd came out of the weeds and put a gun on them and demanded their car." "They gave him the car," Monroe said, "but the shooting started after Samuel Hamblin removed some items from the vehicle." In the ensuing gun battle, Monroe said, the two men were killed. Dennis Kaufman, a guide who assisting the Hamblins, was shot in the ankle and treated for the wound, Monroe said.
